All 130 wellness hotels, which have been listed in the 14th edition of the "My Wellness Hotel" guide, were put under the microscope and assessed on the basis of strict predefined acceptance criteria.

The hotels have to apply to be accepted or they are recommended by guests or industry experts. The authors review the applications and recommendations and then vote on which candidates deserve closer consideration. If an applicant appears to be interesting, a lengthy questionnaire first clarifies whether or not an on-site visit will take place.

What makes a good wellness hotel? Is it the size, the luxurious facilities or the unique location? These features alone will by no means make a visit unforgettable.
