The children's farm

Paradise is waiting for all children above the Stanglwirt water worlds on the scenic slopes of the Kaiser mountain range. A farmhouse that is over 200 years old and beautifully designed for children is exclusively devoted to the hotel's young guests. The rustic idyll invites you to an exciting and varied journey of discovery in rural nature, with a very special highlight being the brand new tree house called “Kinder-Alm”. Inspired by our traditional “Stangl-Alm” on the Wilder Kaiser, it delights young visitors with an adventurous tree slide and numerous nature-related play equipment. Here, children can experience alpine life up close and learn all about the cheese-making trade through play.

Whether petting rabbits, feeding sheep, collecting eggs or brushing ponies, the direct and informal contact with the animals in the Children's Farm makes every child's heart beat faster. The animals love children and are always eagerly awaiting their visit.

Everyone has a great time in the tree house, jumping in the hay, in the gnome workshop or in the farm kitchen, as well as with the many varied, nature-related leisure games that our qualified kindergarten teachers put together for the children every day. In addition, there are many other exciting possibilities for eventful vacation hours: such as children's cooking courses with regional delicacies, creative natural fabric handicrafts, sporty exercise in the healthy fresh air and fun & games at the popular summer festivals on the children's farm grounds, which make young and young-at-heart smile!

Balthasar Hauser had a lot of time for children and everywhere you look in the first children's farm in the world you see his hand and love of detail. The Stanglwirt created the children's farm, as a place reserved only for little ones. And the many happy children who take over the children's farm every year are not the only ones to thank him. All the parents also appreciate the entertaining attraction for their little ones.

The children's farm is available to all children from the age of 3 upwards, every day from 9.30 a.m to 5.00 p.m. (also in the evening during the holidays). Josephine Staffel and the children's farm team look forward to your visit. And even tiny ones can have a lot of fun at the Stanglwirt: our friendly toddlers' group is open to children between one and three years of age every day from 02.00 p.m. to 05.00 p.m.
